This old trailer was given a second life by Tony Mould, owner of Kullindi Homestead on the south coast, and a long time supporter of the Norglass Brand.
With 6 simple steps, using 6 Norglass products the trailer was restored to better than its original state.
The trailer is 20 years old, with 20 years of wear & tear showing.
First it was cleaned with Metal Etch Cleaner, & then with Acetone to remove any dirt or oily residue before primers were applied.
Two coats of Norshield Primer were then sprayed wet on wet & left for 24 hours.
One coat of Shipshape Primer undercoat was applied & left for 24 hours. When painting over metal it is recommended you apply 3 coats of primers/undercoats to protect from rust.
Imperfections in the steel were then filled with Norflex Epoxy Filler & left to cure for 48 hours. Then a light sand & 1 more clean with Acetone prior to the finish coat being applied.
Two coats of Northane Fleet Red were sprayed wet on wet to finish.
The result – better then new!
